Back in January when Theo was 15 months old, Jordan and I started thinking about when we wanted to start trying for baby 2. I got my IUD out in March, and my cycles were really regular so tracking ovulation was easy. May rolled around and I told myself to be patient and not test early. Well two days before my period was due I was hanging out at home with my mum, Jordan, and Theo. My mum and I were getting ready to go run some errands and have a drink and without saying anything to anyone I decided to quickly go take a test. The positive line showed up almost instantly! I could have kept it to myself and surprised everyone in a fun cute way… but I didn’t.
I pretty much skipped my way down the stairs holding my test for my mum and Jord to see. I think my mum noticed first and then Jordan. I was shaking spastically with adrenaline because I was so happy and couldn’t even hold the damn test still for them to really see. Jordan still makes fun of how hard my hands were shaking.
We feel so incredibly blessed to share with you all that our family is growing. The thought of having a sweet little baby brother or sister for Theo just makes my heart melt. He’s in love with babies and I can’t wait to see the love he has for his sibling. So far this pregnancy has been really different from Theo’s, I’ll share the details in another post but I will admit, this pregnancy has been ROUGH. And we’ve got about another month before we learn what the gender is, we can’t wait to find out!!!
