22 Week Pregnancy Update

September 24, 2018

Due Date: January 26th, 2019

Weight Gain: 16 pounds

Cravings/Aversions: apples have been on repeat, I just keep forgetting to mention it as a craving. Honestly I’ve always loved apples, but I kind of forgot about them for a while (does anyone else do this with foods??). I’ve been eating one most days for weeks now!

Something Jordan has been craving and for some reason I can’t stand is the Wholly Guacamole. He eats it every day and I have to leave the room because the smell just kills me. I have to make him brush his teeth after he eats it haha.

Sleep:  My sleep has been AWFUL these past two weeks. I’ve had a cold so the minute my head hits my pillow my nose will stop up and I can’t breathe.  Then I wake up in the middle of the night to my nose running like a faucet so I have to blow my nose.  Between blowing my nose and getting up to pee I’m probably up 3-4 times each night.  It’s not fun, let me tell you.

Mood:  Overall I’ve been really happy lately and really can’t complain.  I’ve had a little bit of anxiety just related to being pregnant, but nothing that I’ve really let get to me.

Baby bump:  Getting bigger every day.  I know I said this in my last update too, but I definitely think I look pregnant now, like there’s no questioning that it’s a baby in there and not just a big breakfast.  My bellybutton is getting closer to being an outie.  It never fully popped out with Theo and I doubt it will this time either because I usually have a pretty deep innie, but it’s definitely getting closer to being more flat if that makes sense.

Stretch Marks:  Still none so fingers crossed that it stays that way.  I did actually get some really light ones on my boobs when I was pregnant with Theo, but they weren’t that noticeable and never bothered me.  They are back again now because pregnancy boobs are finally here haha.

Baby Update:  Baby boy is moving around more and more each day (well I guess I should say I’m feeling him more and more).  He still doesn’t have a name, boy names are SO HARD to come up with!  He’s around 11 inches long and weighs almost a pound which is exciting.

Other symptoms:  I had a cold this past week which always sucks during pregnancy because there’s not much you can take for it.  The biggest issue was the congestion, because it affected my sleep so much which I’ve already talked about.

This isn’t really a symptom, but something worth mentioning is how fabulous my hair is haha.  I have very thin fine hair but pregnancy is always so nice to my hair.  It’s getting so long and thick and it’s also never greasy!  I usually need to wash my hair every other day because it’s so fine, but during pregnancy I can go like 4-5 days without it looking bad, although I rarely actually go that far in between washes because I like really clean hair haha.
